About Me
Hello and welcome — I’m Taylor Stophlet, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT 150306). I’m passionate about supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions.
I earned my undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) and went on to complete my Master’s in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. Over the past several years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of settings where I’ve supported clients through emotional growth, identity development, relationship challenges, and family dynamics.
My clinical experience spans more than three years of training and over a year of licensure, during which I’ve focused primarily on helping children and teens build emotional resilience, improve communication, and develop healthy coping skills. I also enjoy working with young adults as they launch into independence, and with parents and families seeking more connection and understanding within their relationships.
In my work, I draw from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help clients better understand their emotions, thoughts, and patterns of interaction. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in empathy. I believe therapy is a space where people can feel seen, heard, and supported as they grow into their most authentic selves. Together, we can explore what’s working, what’s not, and how to create meaningful change.
